how to view 2 computers output together in 1 monitor screen?
I have more than 1 computers and 1 32″ monitor. As I need to view the 2 computer screen together, can you tell me how to do that?
You need a KVM switch. KVM stands for keyboard, VIdeo and Mouse which allows you to control multiple computers from a single keyboard, video monitor and mouse. The KVM switch doesn’t show at the same time the output of all the computers, what it does is to allow you to switch between computers and see its output on the monitor.
• Most switches support PC and/or Mac and/or Linux operation systems (check the specifications).
• Depending on the ports available in the KVM switch, you could connect up to 8 or more computers: “n” ports = “n” computers.
• Some KVM have other connections so you could also controls the audio and peripherals like printers, scanners, external devices, portable HD, etc.
• It can also offer dual-display (you need the PC/MAC to have dual VGA output, for this option to work).
The KVM Switch are extremely easy to setup and use, even if you aren’t a tech geek.
The switch comes in different forms and different prices, from a small device with cables attached (mini or micro), to a router-size (compact) to bigger options. The important thing is that YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT TYPE OF CONNECTIONS (PS/2, USB, DVI, VGA) for your mouse/keyboard (USB or PS/2) and your monitor (VGA or DVI).
