Is anyone else terrified that their newly walking toddler is gonna fall and crack their head open…?
My 13 month old daughter has been walking for a month now, but she’s still pretty wobbly and unstable. Since she found out she could walk she doesn’t wanna crawl anymore and she refuses any help I try to give her. She falls a lot, which of course is to be expected, but sometimes she falls REALLY hard or falls into something and comes VERY close to really hurting herself. We’ve had 2 busted lips and a gigantic bruise on the forehead so far…
Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s this paranoid =) I know I can’t be superwoman and catch her every time she falls, but it’s still really nerve-wracking.

I totally agree with you. I’m not even a mother, but when my little sister was younger i hovered over her like a shadow.
Also, my cousin had a kid about a year and a half ago, he’s walking now, and we see him quite a lot, but whenever i’m with him i worry he’ll topple over and hurt himself.
When he was really young i used to hate my little sister holding him cause i thought she would drop him.
