A fringe is the ideal choice for a simple style update and if you want a new image without losing length then ask your hair stylist about the best style to suit your cut. Look out for artificial fringe pieces that clip into your hair for a no commitment style change. Your hair dresser may even be able to trim a hairpiece to suit your exact requirements.
THE SHAGGY “JUST SEXED” LOOK
This style is beginning to appear more and more on reality and other popular shows as well as on many celebrities. It’s longer than the cut above and is styled to look messy, punkish and sexy all at once. One stylist shared with us to keep this looking great don’t wash your hair too often. Most of the same gels and anti-frizzing sprays used for longer length hair also work well for short hair. However, pomades and gels that give extra texture are often preferred for short hairstyles. If you are looking for a short, sleek hairstyle, look for products that will help lock down the hair and prevent frizzing. Stylists caution however, that with short hair, a little product goes a long way.
If you can’t find such a picture, the salon will have a binder or catalog which may give at least an approximate image. A common complaint is, “She cut too much off”. So to indicate how much you want cut off, place your hand at the right position, rather than saying “Cut about 2 inches off”. Have your hair stylist step back and get a good idea of how much you want cut off.

Straight-haired boys can cut their hair fairly short and use styling products to get it to stick up and out. This type of hair cut is very versatile. Boys can style it in a more experimental way for social situations and a more traditional way for family and school events. Straight-haired girls are also often likely to cut their hair to allow for bangs in the front. Braids and ponytails are also still popular, allowing teen girls to change their look on almost a daily basis without making any changes to their basic cut.
