Britax Roundabout Britax 55 Is Car Seat Amazing
The Britax Roundabout 55 convertible car seat is designed for children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing up to 55 pounds. The Roundabout 55 achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of patent-pending Britax SafeCell Technology, integrated steel bars, and Versa-Tether that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact. The Britax Roundabout 55 also incorporates Britax Side Impact Protection, offers a five-point harness, and multiple buckle and recline adjustments. A body pillow is provided for comfort and infant positioning.

Premium lower LATCH connectors make for a quick, simple, and tight installation, while the push-button allows you to easily uninstall the connectors. Easy-to-access built-in lock-offs allow you to install the car seat with ease using your vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt.
Additionally, an anti-slip contoured base grips and protects the vehicle seat, ensuring a tight installation in all types of vehicles. Convenient holders keep harness straps out of the way when you’re placing your child in the seat.
I bought this for our BMW 325 because our Marathon impacted the front seats when mounted rear-facing. The roundabout fits great. We have it mounted in the center seat, rear facing, and it leaves plenty of room for the front seats.
LATCH makes it easy to install, although I spent quite a long time adjusting towels under it to get the rear-facing recline angle right. There are three recline positions, and you put the seat into max recline, then adjust rolled-up towels under the base until a line on the base is horizontal.

I have only had this installed for a few days, but so far so good. I was easy to install and fits nicely in my RAV4. I put the car seat in the back and I do not have to keep it as long as I drive it. My 20lb, 9 month old fits nicely and seems comfy. I don’t anticipate any problems, except I am a little concerned about the cover not being machine washable, but I guess I will just throw it in the bathtub with some warm water and detergent when we need to, and hope that it dries by morning.
