Kia Sportage front wheel bearing replacement?
Does anyone know how to replace the front wheel bearings on a 1999 Kia Sportage? I’ve had plenty of 4×4′s apart in my time, but this one has me stumped. I have the hub off. There is a splined part that appears to be pressed on the end of the axle. The spanner nut does not fit over this piece. I can’t find a repair manual anywhere for this model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You will need a press to press the hub off the bearing, then once its off, get some emery cloth and clean up the part of the hub that goes through the bearing and then have it pressed back on, also replace any seals involved.
