HELP. Any suggestions for a car seat suitable for a baby from 10 months that fits 53 reg beetle convertible?
I have tried the Volkswagen suggested Recaro Young Expert plus car seat but Mothercare fitted it and were not happy it was safe enough however they did admit they had never fitted one before. I can’t believe I am the only Beetle owning Mum who has this issue and wondered if any of you have solved it. I tried an Isofix Maxi Cosi but not a lot of leg room for my little man once fitted. Help I am running out of time before he gets to big for his baby seat and yes I have taken my issue to my local Volkswagen dealer and they are looking into it to so will let you know. Thank you x
You don’t sound like a US Mom, so I can’t really suggest seats, since they are different here. What I would do if I were you is if you are in Australia, New Zealand or Canada go to the Safe Kids website: http://www.safekids.org and find a tech, they train with many different seats and should be able to help recommend a seat and get it installed. If you are in the UK I would visit: http://car-seat.org/ and ask them what they recommend. There are techs on there from many different countries and should be able to help you out.
