First and foremost, when you come and get your baby from the hospital you will need to have a car seat installed. A snugride car seat is ideal as it allows the baby to stay comfortable and relaxed, particularly on long rides.
When you bring your baby out of the house to visit friends down the road or to take walks as a family through the park, you will need to have a perego stroller in which your child can sleep. Make sure that you get one that is highly reliable as the worst thing to happen is to have a wheel break or for the actual ‘crib’ area to tear or fall apart.
There are also a lot of things that you can do for your baby when you bath them. The main thing that you need to get is a baby bath tub in which you can bathe your child. Get a bath that allows you baby to sit straight upright so that they cannot slip under. Do not use adult towels to dry your child but get baby bath towels that are far more sensitive to their skin.
Their crib is also a very important item to purchase. Parents spend days kitting out their child’s nursery, but by far the most important item is the crib. You should get one with narrow slats so they cannot get their head stuck and a good thin and soft mattress that fits well and comes with cotton sheets. Also ensure never to fill the crib with soft cushion or toys as these can be dangerous for various reasons.
Another very important thing to think about as they get older is making sure that the house is baby proofed. This will include things like locks on all of the cabinets and baby gates anywhere that you do not want the child to go.
This is just a short list of the things you need to get. Your real list should be a lot longer.
