What Really Happens When You Sleep?
Many things have been discussed concerning sleep and the human mind. There have been many sleep experiments conducted. However, none of them explain what happens to your consciousness as you lie asleep. They know what happens to the body. They cannot trace the mind. This leaves many questions unanswered. Some may be fact. Some things are only a theory, at this point.
When you sleep, does your consciousness actually leave your body and travel elsewhere? It certainly goes somewhere. Is the human mind existent in many layers? Perhaps it can be compared to computers, shells and laptop computer skins. Does this seem a bit out there? Perhaps, but it may explain a few things.
Many people have experienced the feeling of floating from their bodies, as they lie asleep. This has been reported many times. It happens so much, it cannot be passed off as hallucination. What about all of the near death experiences? Do they point to the existence of the human soul? Is this soul ephemeral or tangible? You will not be able to suck it into a handheld vacuum. Yet, it appears to exist in some manner.
Much goes unnoticed by the human race. There are unseen worlds at your fingertips. Tiny things live out their entire life cycles on your skin. They also exist in the air that you inhale. You do not see, hear, or feel them. Yet you know that they exist. Maybe the human soul exists in the same way.
Suppose you leave you body at night. What does that mean? It may mean that there is more to you than you once thought. It may point the way to the other side of death’s doorway. This is an age old question that everyone continually ponders. It is the reason for the extreme power of world religions throughout history.
If you leave your body during sleep, what leaves? And even more important, what is it that stays? Perhaps if that were studied more, there would be better understanding of life after death. There is nothing more important that that age old problem. Even though it may never be totally understood, it would help to have a better understanding.
Summary
Where does consciousness go when you are unconscious? If you can separate from your physical body, what separates? What remains behind? Is the human experience a multilevel and multiple layer kaleidoscope? Is it like a computer, case, and finally a notebook skin? Maybe sleep should be looked into more closely. Perhaps its relationship to the mind should be studies more. Can this lead to an understanding of life after death? If so, many might be comforted by the results.
