how reliable are forehead thermometers?
My little girl (16 months) is running a fever. She’s boiling. We are calling nhs direct but I don’t know how reliable our thermometer is. It’s a mothercare forehead one and both times I tried it it went up to high fever and that’s over 102. I’m really worried but need to know if anyone has experience of this so o can give as much detail as possible.
Rectal is the most accurate. After that the ear thermometers are good, they are more accurate than the forehead and easy to use still.
