Is there an removable extra camera for iPhone 3g?
Can one buy a camera that you can insert in to the bottom of an iPhone 3G and then use them for video calls? For that matter is there the ability to do this in ios4.1 or is there an app for this that exists? I wouldn’t mind if it were necessary to jailbreak the phone and download something unofficial.
There is no such thing for the iPhone 3G. I assume that if someone came up with a front camera hardware solution for iPhone 3G, he would write an App to enable the camera, but then compatibility with other video chatting apps might be a problem. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that someone would invest in such expensive solution.
You can use Yahoo messenger, and use the iPhone 3G rear camera for video chat, it is better than nothing. Flip your iPhone to show your face.
