Where can I find replacement hardware for Eddie Bauer Dorel bassinet besides the company?
We bought the musical rocking bassinet in 2004 and can’t find one bolt that holds the bed on the frame. I called the company for a replacement bolt but they said this model is no longer available so neither are replacement parts. I found an almost identical model and called the same company (Dorel Juvenile Group) to order a bolt for that model since it is the identical bolt and they told me it was on back order for 4 to 6 weeks. It’s hard to believe a huge company doesn’t have one bolt in stock, I’m so disgusted. My baby will be here in 2 weeks, we don’t want to have to rig it up with something other than the right bolt. Is there any specialty hardware stores that I could order the identical part from? The bolt is partly round with an inch at the end that is square and it has a plastic washer type sleeve just under the flat part. Will a hardware store have this?
Home depot has a section of furniture parts in their screw and nail aisle. The have everything for prefab furniture and all kinds of interesting parts. If you have another one (like from the other side) bring it in with you and have someone help you match it. Good luck!
