Anyone else have a maxi-cosi mico infant carseat?
Are you having any trouble with it? I was having a hard time getting the seat to snap into the base, so I called the manufacturer (Dorel Juvenile Group) and the man I spoke with said he has heard this complaint before and suggested it’s from the heat and that I should cover the base with a blanket or remove it from the car!!!! How unsafe is this? I called to speak w/ someone else and they are sending me a letter including things I need to mail in from the carseat as proof that it is destroyed and are sending me a refund (after she said it was the FIRST they heard of this and I freaked out that at least my complaint wasn’t documented). I think this carseat should be recalled. Is anyone else having an issue with theirs? Please call and let them know!
I don’t have this seat, but a great place to go for carseat advice and chat is www.car-seat.org. There are trained techs on the forum and they’re very knowledgable and good about answering questions.
I do think that’s a little odd that the heat would destroy a carseat base, though. They should definitely be designed to sit in cars. Good luck.
