Does baby guppy color depend on the parents color?
I just recently had baby guppies born. The mother is orange and I do not know what color the father is because I have not had a guppy in my tank in a while. Will the baby guppies take on there mothers color or there fathers color? Or will it be a mixture? Does it depend on the settings? Please let me know 
Both genetics and the environment can influence the color of guppies. The parents will influence the location of the pigments. Orange pigments are sequestered from food, so amount rather than placement is environmentaly determined. It’s not really possible for us to tell what the offspring will look like without knowing some of the genetics of the parents.
